Do I need a referral to see a physio?
No, Physiotherapists are primary healthcare practitioners, this means they are trained to be first contact practitioners able to diagnose injuries and conditions and refer for scans including x-ray, ultrasound and MRI if required.
How long does an appointment go for?
At Matrix Physiotherapy we provide longer than industry average consultations. An Initial consultation is 45 minutes, a Standard consultation is 30 minutes. Longer consultation times can also be arranged for multiple areas.
Can I claim physiotherapy with my Health Fund?
Yes, you can claim on the spot through our HICAPS machine. Rebates vary depending on what level of cover and what health fund you are with, so please contact your private health fund to find out your rebates.
